Oxburgh Hall

We went to Oxburgh Hall in May (I know its late again!) It was cold and rainy but we still managed to have a nice time. The place is huge as you can see from the pic and had some really cool hidey holes to explore. I even got to play my first game of 'Pooh sticks' which was pretty cool except mine got stuck in shrubs a few times.

My ski coat has come in handy with all this crap weather over here - its meant to be summer!!

Posh English Do

Raychel, Anna and I went to a posh English do in Norwich a few weeks ago now. We had a few drinks, lovely food and got to dance the night away. I've discovered I don't have a lot of airs and graces...
Anna and Raychel were shocked to see me looking so girlie and I have to admit it was a bit of a shock looking in the mirror. Mind you I had to start working on the look a week before by applying tan in a bottle seeing as I've got English skin now!

Luv to you all

UK Road Trip

Amanda, Nathan and I went on a big road trip around England and Scotland. We did it in a week and did 1212 miles. We started the trip by picking up Freddy, the car, at Gatwick airport and then went to Brighton, Stonehenge, Bristol, Bath, Oxford, Birmingham, Manchester, Sheffield, York, Newcastle, Edinburgh, and then up to Loch Ness and back to Edinburgh. We then left Freddy in Edinburgh and got the train back to Kings Lynn where we spent Easter and then went to London for 4 days. In London we got to slide down a slide from the 5th floor of Tate Modern Gallery, see a few shows at the theatres and walked absolutely heaps!!

This is what Amanda, me and Nathan would look like if we were made out of chocolate. We discovered it at Cadbury World! My coat wasn't very flattering though...

Nathan built a stone castle at Brighton which we discovered is a lot harder then building a sand castle and the rocks slip all the time!

Amanda, Me and Nathan at Stonehenge. It was a long drive and at times very slow but I thought it was worth it to see Stonehenge.

Skiing in Switzerland

This is us at the top of the mountain, it was really beautiful up there but the altitude made us go a bit funny - and it was FREEZING!

Me skiing - yippee!!! Just to prove I wasn't always over in the snow!

We got so wet skiing one day because it kept snowing that we decided to make a snowman instead. I discovered theres a 'rolling technique' to making the balls that big and round. We named the snowman 'Drongo' and after this photo was taken we put him on skis.

New Years in Edinburgh

Above: Me with my scabby knee - hadn't met the flying cone at this stage.

Above Right: I've got mittens!!!! I was very excited that I got mittens - their so cool, you can fold the top mitten bit over and use your fingers without having to take them off and get your hands frozen! I was very impressed :)

Anna and Jane felt a little bit cold and decided to get nice and cuddly up at the castle. It was SO cold that Anna brought a new scarf which we realised would actually fit 2 people. I had about 5 layers on including a thermal and didn't want to move far from the fire at the castle entrance!

They cancelled the street party in Edinburgh because of bad weather (hence the flying cone) and we decided to go to the castle. One man with his bagpipes came out of the castle and amused us all - we thought he was great and he definately saved the night. Its just quite amusing how they spent so much money on planning the street party only to be shown up by one man!

Christmas in Aus

G'day everyone,

I had a great time in Aus over Christmas, I'm so glad I got to catch up with most of you - even if it was only for a short time. I suppose most of you heard about my injuries when I got back to the UK! I'm laughing about it now (although its still a bit embarrassing when I have to tell the story to people) and the skin has finally grown back on my knee and the bruising is now starting to go. I got 5 days off work sitting at home with my foot up which gave me a chance to catch up on some serious Police Academy watching (got through 5 out of the 7 DVDs!) Thanks Nathan too for staying up and chatting to me on MSN when I was off :)

Take care and miss you guys.

Luv Jo

Bonfire Night

We went to Hunstanton for bonfire night 2 weekends ago. They celebrate it on the 5th November every year to remember some guy who tried to blow up the houses of parliment in London - I think the whole thing is weird but the English seem to like it! They have a huge bonfire and also lots of fireworks. It was pretty cold and we were on the beach which didn't help but we had good fun anyway.

York

I went to York a few weeks ago now but forgot to update the site - oops! Here are a couple of pics anyway. York is a beautiful place and I had an awesome time.

London by night

Raych and I went to London one night for something to do. It was really nice as I havn't seen London at night before. We saw the London eye, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Leichester Square. We were in a bit of a random mood and took some really random photos on the train on the way back to Lynn.

Yee-hah

I went to a barn dance a few weekends ago and had a real ball. A bunch of us got dressed up for the occasion and we danced to almost all of the songs although I've realised I need waltzing lessons...
